Nisaba's Blood Sorcery
The Themes of the Shin’ar Sorcery are Divination and Protection. Divination allows the ritualist to magically uncover knowledge and to divine the location or circumstances of a target or object. Divination is a powerful tool and crucial for the Shin’ar. The future is always fluid, but the odds usually aren’t. The Theme of Protection grants the miracle worker a defense from physical or supernatural harm or danger. Shin’ar do not actively seek violence but will defend themselves with powerful magics and cunning. The third theme is usually chosen to aid in specific pilgrimages. Creation and Transmutation are a favored third for Oracles who are sent out to harsher climates.
As to the connection of the Shin’ar to both Crúac and Theban sorcerers, there is only speculation. This sorcery has been in existence since the dawn of time—or at least the time of man. Kish sorcery can easily be connected to all forms of blood magic, just as all Disciplines can be connected to the Great Father. The principles of Kish sorcery are the same. Simply put, miracles and rituals are a focused petitioning of will, and the Shin’ar use that will to hide and watch. This sect of blood sorcerers is dedicated to gathering information, trading secrets, and above all, guarding its knowledge and neutrality.
